In the Shadow of Dragons

For generations, war and chaos raged across the land of Tyria. Five great races competed and warred against each other, struggling to tip the balance of power in their favor.

Then the dragons woke.

I will say this was a new one for us, we have killed dragons, undead demon queens, and things that look like they belong on the menu at a sushi bar.

But a ship, a full blown demon boat, hell-bent on our destruction, yeah thats something different.  The fight was fun I will say and took a bit to get the hang of, but of course like everything else we have seen thus far in Infernal Dawn, we got Rusila and her ship dead, for yet another server first and completed the Earth Wing of the Zone.

Sadly we did not get to keep the what was left of the boat.

Now only 2 encounters left in the zone, the 2 biggies, and we are looking forward to seeing them drop.

The Earth wing of ID opened this past weekend, after some work we dropped the first boss in the wing, Maklamos the Scryer.   The encounter was a fun one, and we are looking forward to sinking a ship next and being all set for the next set of content to be added.

Ah the conclave, 3 mobs 1 encounter.  Fun times for sure.  After picking apart the encounter we dropped them and officially cleared the Fire wing of Infernal Dawn, netting us another Server first. That puts us at 8th US and 17th Worldwide as far as ranking.

Great work to the entire guild on getting this new content dead this week and looking forward to next weeks release of the Earth wing of the zone.

Day 2 of our foray into Infernal Dawn we tackled the Demon Lord Ituziel and sent him back to hell.

I have to say this was one of the more enjoyable fights we have had the pleasure of working with in the game, and will say that ID hasn't disappointed thus far as far as challenges and new experiences.

This was another Server first for us, and puts us at the Ember Conclave.  More updates to come!

Infernal Dawn, the next big dungeon was released on 4-18 along with patch 1.8 in Rift.  We were of course in there the first night getting kills and server firsts.

The zone is amazing looking, and it was great to have new content to take on after months of farming Hammerknell.

 I don't have any kill shots unfortunately, but I do have the chat messages that went by for server firsts.

Heroic Madness of Deathwing is dead and with it comes the end of the Tier! We've also completed our first set of legendaries, and are recruiting for Mists! More after the break.

The latter part of heroic DS has been more of a marathon for us than a sprint, but in the end our raid team as usual came through in the clutch with a two-shot of spine last night. The kill was a bit more catharsis than anything else, but we still found time to have a nice party on the bank steps. Madness is now all that remains, and we are hard at work with it!

We've gotten off to a slower start this tier then our usual pace due to the Holidays and what not, but I'll stop the wheel of excuses at that. Bottom line, as per usual I asked my team to step up and they've rebounded in true Drow fashion. We'll finish off this zone in short order and get ready for some Pandas. As always team I appreciate everyone's time, effort, and creativity as we managed most of these kills with some interesting comps and a ton of patience.
