6/8 In Dragon Soul! Deathwing's fall imminent!

We've gotten off to a slower start this tier then our usual pace due to the Holidays and what not, but I'll stop the wheel of excuses at that. Bottom line, as per usual I asked my team to step up and they've rebounded in true Drow fashion. We'll finish off this zone in short order and get ready for some Pandas. As always team I appreciate everyone's time, effort, and creativity as we managed most of these kills with some interesting comps and a ton of patience.

Hope everyone's enjoying the New Year, Happy Hunting!

Akylios Dead!!! Hammerknell Cleared!! Sushi for all!

So as is obvious by our news page the last 2+ months we have been working on the big ugly boss of Hammerknell, Akylios.  Well as oflast night, we became the 12th US/21st Worldwide guild to send his ugly ass back into the abyss.

The guild has been amazing on this encounter, this is by far the toughest mob we have faced yet in the game, everyone has showed amazing perserverance in dealing with death and more tentacles than you would find at an Anime convention, untill finally, we managed to drop this overgrown lobster.  To say I am proud of the team would be an understatement.   Akylios Dead

10/11 In Hammerknell

As is always the case this week was a busy one for us in Hammerknell.  After taking down Grugonim on Thursday we set our focus on the upper floor.

First up was Inquisitor Garau, who we had hoped would be somewhat of a challenge, sad to say he was quite a disappointment and we put him down fast.  We then moved on to Inwar, who lets just say, makes every other fight (except Crab-Man himself) look simple by comparison.

After a bit of learning and getting the dynamics of the fight down, we dropped Inwar on Monday to become the 13th US guild to be at Akylios, not a bad accomplishment

Amazing work to everyone involved and congrats on a Server-First Inwar kill.Inwar DeadInwar Achieve

Grugonim Dead

Hammerknell continues not to disappoint with fun encounters that make you question your sanity.  This week we had Grugonim the lovely worm/demon/whatever to deal with.

After a fun time learning the fight and realizing that near perfection is needed to kill this guy we dropped him last night with only 1 death.

That brings our total to 8/11 and all of the first floor now complete.  Up next 2nd floor, and more bosses to take down.

Great work everyone!

7/11 in Hammerknell

This week was a busy one for us.  After a relatively painless clear of our standard 5 in Hammer, we decided to pay the King and Prince a visit, sadly they had gone mad and had to be put down,(which is a fun fight for sure)  My apologies about the lack of a death shot for King and Prince, the pets ate the corpses before I could get a picture.

We then continued and dropped in on Lady Estrode, once again sadly she wasn't happy to see us and the end result was her very timely death altho I will say she did her best to take a few of us with her.

That brings our grand total to 7/11 killed in Hammerknell now with just one left one the first floor.

Sicaron Down

Hammerknell continues to not disappoint us as far as new experiences go, and delivered us definitely one of the more interesting fights that we have ever had to deal with.  Sicaron was either designed by a genius or a sociopath.

Easily one of those encounters that could (and from what we have heard it has) tear a guild apart, this fight allows for 0 margin of error from all raid members involved.  After some time on him we finally took him down on Sunday netting us a 5/11 complete on Hammerknell so far.

Great work to all involved and congrats again to everyone on a job well done.

HEROIC RAGNAROS DEFEATED!

If you follow World of Warcraft progression you should know that Heroic Ragnaros was dropped on our laps as one of the hardest encounters ever put into the game. It lived up to the hype. Until this week there were only 6 US kills. The first top World Kills came from guilds who essentially pulled him 500 times straight until he died. Each phase took many attempts for each player to master. The patience and focus required by any raid team to kill this encounter speaks volumes to the level of talent and dedication your team has.

Between horrendous ISPs, hurricanes.....I'll stop it's the same sob story every GM posts after they kill this...let's just say it sucked just from a composition and stability stand point.

Zilas' Soul Rended at Long Last

At long long last, Soulrender Zilas fell to us.

While this fight is a nicely done fight as far as participation and execution, this guys random factor drove us insane for a couple of weeks almost to the point where we started clubbing squirrels (sadly there are no gnomes around) to relieve the frustration.  Afterwards we went and explored the quarry and took down Vladmal Prime as well, after Zilas he was a cakewalk.

Great work to all that showed up week in and week out to take down this undead bastard.

6/7 Heroics Cleared! Ragnaros Up Next

This was a step up in difficulty for sure and we decided to add to it with an ever changing comp. Turns out in the end all you need to do is sit all your OP DPS classes and run off spec healers. It's Win Win!

Apparently Rag is serious this time. We shall see.

US 9th Heroic Kill!

I take alot of pride in the fact that we don't raid like maniacs during progression. We raid 4 hours a night 5 days a week. Very rarely I push us thirty minutes to an hour here or there, but when you take into account the time put in, our relative skill level of play is off the charts compared to our competition. We aren't done yet!
