Rhino or Mammoth?

I have found that I could either get a Rhino or Mammoth mount when I pre Order, what would be more useful?
Ill be a Necro so I'm betting neither will be all that great for me but there free....lol

Mmmm for imagery I'm thinking Rhino, but on the off chance I think the Rhino is slightly faster & as a caster I think you'll want that. Then again the Mammoth will probably give you more hp & if you can drain hp to supplement your mana then you probably want the Mammoth.

I was under the impression that the mount is directly related to your HP and no matter which mount you have, it will be based solely on the players HP and there will be no bonus for your mount.

Mmm I believe I read on the AoC page about the different mounts would offer different things. The mammonth would be the increase in hitpoints. I'd c&p it for ya, but I'm going to use the excuse of a slow connection & suggest ya go look it up =) And if I am wrong please do correct me, rather know the truth.

I don't remember where I read it but it went something like this....

your mount gives you bonuses like hit pints, mammoth having the most (currently)
If you or your mount dies, you both die. so i think they link the hpts as 1 bar, not sure.

as a Necro I think I would want more hpts, but at the same time thats one huge target...damn archers
it would be easier to hide behind things if i was not mounted but hey...why not get a free mount

I also read (or maybe it was in an interview I listened to) that the rhino and mammoth are pretty well balanced with the rhino having a slight advantage in speed and the mammoth a bit more HP. So for the most part it comes down to personal taste for those two. Of course if you really want the speed then you're going to pull out your horse.

I'm personally getting the pre-order mammoth mostly because the only place in North America that it has been confirmed has the rhino for pre-orders is Best Buy Canada. If the rhino turns out to be way awesome then I'll just save up and buy one.

I was watching a seige video.
The dev's mentioned that the Mammoth will also be usefull in tearing down walls and defenses, while the rhino is a mount more specialized in charging into battle tearing apart groups of people.

I don't think I really like the sound of a mammoth of rhino. I like ponies Depeneding on how much ponies cost, I'll get the rhino or not (cuz it's faster than the hairy elephant).

U can have the mammoth mate with the Rhino then when the baby matures, mate with a Horse. U will get the perks from all 3 mounts!

Its a long process though so get ready.
