WoW Stress Test Beta

Fileplanet(www.fileplanet.com) subscribers can get into a 7 day WoW stress test beta...just thought id mention it incase anyone out there is a fileplanet subscriber. I'll be doing this because im currently not in the regular closed beta test. But supposedly WoW will be having a Open beta test in the future.

Also would like to add, you dont have to be a paying subscriber, if you are not you can send in your info and you will receive your CD Key for WoW - Stress Test Beta via email in 1 - 48 hours. The file size for the install is about 3.5 gigs after it is all unzipped. Also, If you are getting the stress test, you should use WinZIP, not WinRAR, because WinRAR doesn't read it.

Wish I could come and play, every time i download the stress test, unzip it, and install it it errors randomly after being half done, called blizz and they dont know, there stumped, no stress test for me!

Yeah stress test beta are on totally different servers than the regular Closed beta.

I have a 50 human Pally on the closed beta, been stuck there casue of the stress testing been dropping the closed beta server like a bad habit :p

I am on the Nozodormus (spelling?) server i have a level 8 Dark Elf Hunter and really i never intend on logging him in again. Maybe it was just the beta but the game really didn't click with me at all. It was actually part of the reason i renewed my SWG account. The UI was terrible, movement was clumsy ... jumping ... wtf? Graphics were pretty though, but overally had basically no appeal to me whatsoever, but on the plus side being a fileplanet subscribers ... Tribes: Vengeance ... UT 2K4 is better, but Vengeance is alot of fun

Wow. I felt the exact opposite.

Didn't care for the Night Elf though - Undead all the bloody way.

My night elf rogue is level 28 now. Been kinda trying to win a spot into closed beta. Does anyone thats in the closed beta now, know where I can go at around lvl 28 to get really good exp? I've been hangin out in Duskwood a lot lately.

I restarted as a Gnome Mage. And I like it, got to level 16 in the last two days. Then I looked at the last patch message, and it looks like they gimped the hell out of them. Why'd they remove invisibility? Everything is "Reduced such and such's effectiveness".

I'm torn for retail. Leaning towards Mage though.

alot of classes are getting slapped around. rumor is that paladins lose that ability to cast seal spells and auras(the basis of the class) will now cost mana to use and upkeep. the nerf bat is large and in charge for this beta

I found an explanation of the invisibility removal, and it's pretty valid. Mages were way powerful.

Tried to get in stress test but every time I try to click on stress test DL on fileplanet it comes up with my registration. For some reason it wont log me in when I have an account.

I'll just wait for open beta I guess.

Gotta put in your information again and it will lead you to the download area.

Also check your beta keys to make sure your group of keys has been released.

Every time I click finish at Fileplanet it brings me back to that registration page. For some reason after I put my information its not correct or its just not letting me pass to the download area.

Steps:
1. Subscribe to Fileplanet
2. You will receive an email saying they got your info and have charged your credit card.
3. Wait -- I waited about 2 hours
4. Login to fileplanet, go to profile area and check subscriptions. Once it shows your subscription you can continue
5. Register for WoW. Enter info. It will say congrats you have been accepted and need to wait for your key to be released
6. Wait again -- I waited overnight
7. Go to profile area again and check your beta keys. Once the beta key is listed then you can download. Go to the WoW page again and it will let you download.
8. Download
9. Register the beta key with Blizzard and create your account.
10. Install. Make sure all prior versions of WoW are gone
11. Login in with the account name and password you created in step 9.
12. Pick server. Select EST (we will be on CST servers for official release) and pick server #2
13. Create character and enjoy.
