Here are a few rules laid out to keep the idea and structure of this forum the way it is intended to be.
Rule #1 (Behavior)
This forum is all about advanced strategy discussion for Starcraft 2. Therefore, we expect all discussions here to be strictly about Starcraft 2. Having debates and discussions will naturally bring up tension and/or disagreement. There will be zero tolerance for posts with demeaning or flamatory content.
Rule #2 (How to Post)
There is a specific thread topic format that is used here. It is the standard for any advanced strategy discussion on popular SC2 forums. We will use the [TvZ], [PvT], etc format for all of the threads in this forum. For example:
[TvP] = Terran v Protoss (whichever race the original poster is comes first, in this case they are Terran)
[G] = A guide thread. For example, [G] Helion/Marauder Build
Another example, say you want to have a discussion about the strategy for defending against Terran air units as Zerg, you would pick the [TvZ] prefix on the new thread form and then continue on with what you want your thread to be titled. Please DO NOT type in the [XvX] yourself in the title, because the prefix field is mandatory and will take care of it all for you.
Rule #3 (What to Post)
We have a Simple Questions/Answers thread (http://www.drow.org/forums/showthread.php?t=57254) for a reason. This forum is NOT the place to ask about things that are simple and usually answered by a 1-2 sentence reply. For example:
How many gatherers should I build before I start making buildings and units?
That would go in the Simple Questions/Answers sticky (http://www.drow.org/forums/showthread.php?t=57254), NOT as it's own thread in this forum.
[G] Guides
Obviously, you need to be very experienced and knowledgable about the guide you are writing and posting. If you are posting a guide for an amazing build or strat, be sure to test it extensively and find it's weaknesses before posting it here or you will just embarass yourself in the end. Also, make sure there isn't already a guide posted that is similar to your idea. We don't want multiple threads about the same thing.
As far as replying to and commenting on guides, to put it simply, don't be an ass. Rule #1 applies here as well. All guides will get outdated as patches come and that means some strats/builds will be outdated. Make sure you keep your guide up-to-date with the newest patch's information.
