The Darkfall Pre Orders will be available in the next few days, scour the internet my friends.

REMEMBER that this pre order is for the European Servers and due to this you will be forced to play on the European server until it is launched into the U.S.

Now that that NDA has been lifted Ive read a ton of bad reviews about the game. On the otherhand, a positive that I HAVE heard is that its polished. Ive also heard that with the size of the world, there's very few mobs which sort of reminds me of Vanguard when it first launched. Huge areas but barren with no mobs, no nothing. That may or may not be correct but I guess we'll find out when the game launches.

From what Ive seen through videos, the game will probably get boring rather quickly. Through the footage that I watched it seemed like it was basically a spam 1 button game and hope to hit your target through 1st person. I honestly have no idea how that will be fun. But hey, Im open to being proven wrong

Do we happen to have anyone in the beta? If so, can they please share their opinion on the game?

that is correct. i just wandered aimlessly looking for another town because the map is so very very poor, ran for over an hour and didn't see a single mob. as far as 'polished' i'm not sure what their definition of that is, since even the most basic thing like grouping is riduculous, you have to manually type /group_party_invite and their name, the inventory/bag system is awful (stuff just stacks on top of each other with no way to organize it other than manually), the entire menu system looks like an 11th graders year 1 xml project, and every character looks like a clone. the entire world looks like quake 1 (the predominant colors are brown and....brown), and as i said in a previous post, the "glorious pvp environment requiring the use of tactics" is just circle strafing your opponent and left clicking faster than he does.

all of that being said, i don't "hate" the game (believe it or not), i am not trying to sound overly negative about it (for the "well just don't play then nyeah nyeah!" people). but i don't "love" it either, it's basically just "bleh" at this point (which might be worse than hating it). i think it COULD be something decent if you didn't spend most of your time watching out for battlenet rejects (pvp is great, i love it, but my experience so far has been it's the retarded kind of pvp) and if it were actually "polished" up a bit. but for a game that has been in development this long, i think a very large number of people are going to say "wtf" and after month 1, subscriptions will drop siginificantly because the reality of the game does not and will not live up to what most people have built it up as in their minds (you can tell just by reading what people who haven't played it write).

so.....short answer: don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed

Well, this confirms my decision to wait till the US release. Don't want to pay for an open beta.

In some defense to Darkfall the mapping system is supposed to be updated before release. But as it stands right now its piss poor. Supposedly a lot of the mobs in the world are turned off right now, but it seems funny to me just a week before the game is released and they are not all on....

Just remember they are just now lifting the NDA...and there are reasons for it. Lets just say that Tasos was not completely telling the truth when he said the game was ready for release a few months ago...

Darkfall seems like it could be a great game but as it stands now the combat is unthoughtful and lacks polish. Darkfall does have potential though.

In all honesty, I keep hearing games "Having potential". In this case, Ive heard nothing but shit reviews therefor I personally feel that this is a game that has NO potential.

As for turning mobs off, whats with that? The games close to release and those of you who are in the beta are not able to experience the entire thing? Thats some bullshit. Its like their stringing you along to get your money in hopes of there actually being mobs there.

Once this game flops Im assuming WAR will have a big spurt of players as well as possibly AoC. I never thought Id say this cause I had no passion for AoC but its actually starting to interest me again. Im hearing good things about it picking up subs again and playerbase as well as problems being ironed out.
