There is something VERY fun about a phone that I can turn into a mobile wireless access point/router. I had multiple laptops 'tethering' wirelessly to my phone last night. Not too bad when at 3g speeds, I've been getting ~1.1 megabit/sec.
Other fun stuff I've been able to get working on this phone:
1) OpenVPN -- Access all my routers/servers at work securely
2) VNCViewer -- For the servers through the VPN Tunnel!
3) GMote -- www.gmote.org. Media Player remote control + Mouse control -- GREAT to use with my MythTV box!
4) Ogame -- Can use the built-in Webkit browser or Opera Mini 4.2
5) Full MP4 Movies -- I can over 30 of them on an 8gb SDHC Card. Ripping Netflix has never been so fun
6) Online Streaming -- If I don't have it on the phone already, it has a youtube viewer, and the Android Market has several audio streaming apps for Internet Radio stations!
7) Email -- Push Email on your Gmail account. Good IMAP support for other accounts. I don't use POP3, but it does that, too.
This is an excellent phone with excellent potential, and now that everyone who would use it can get root, the options are nearly limitless. I'm having too much fun on this phone.
Oh! And the next release of the software for it will support A2DP and AVRCP bluetooth profiles (Google android cupcake for more info on the coming updates!)
Questions and comments are welcome. If you are looking to get a new phone soon, I can honestly say this is one I would recommend to any power user.
