They already have 100 million sold just because of the name and actor.

Looks like it'll be worth watching. Good to see. I am still a little worried that McG is directing it.

It's getting about 4 stars by normal people (not film critics) so I think I'm still going to go see it. What didn't you like about it?

Well, you have to go see it, of course.

It's just another case of expectations being too high. And who said the acting was good? Omg, Bale's acting was awful.

The fact is, the story blew. So much to draw from, such a great back story, and this script is the best they could come up with?

phhhhhtttttt....

Its Terminator... You really cant expect the acting to be academy award worthy but compared to Arnold and his performance, I personally think Bale did great. Its an action movie so not much is said but I liked it. If you go into it thinking your going to be entertained than youll be happy with it. Thats the whole reason we go to see the movies isnt it? To be entertained? I sure as hell was.

On the otherhand, Its another trilogy thats being made so expect more Terminators.

It was awesome overall, but could have been tons better with better writing...especially the ending. Two thumbs up mcg and Bale.

Classic story telling folks. 3 parts to a story, the introduction, the build up, and the finale. This was the introduction. And in my opinion a pretty good one at that.

And to those of you saying Bale did a bad job of acting... concetrate on it being entertainment. This is not a critical thinking paper, your supposed to get 1:30 to 2 hrs of enjoyment from some pretty sweet cgi, stuff getting blown up etc.

So the consensus is, if you like mindless, unoriginal action, this movie is for you!

If you don't like lame, formulatic crap with a big budget, this movie suxxors.

Score another one for the movie studios...

Haha, I challenge you to make a war movie that hasn't been done before...

We've covered every single war to date in at LEAST one movie.. We've had space war movie, ground war movies in the future with insert cool new technology. There really isn't a whole lot of new stuff to do. All you can do is try and come up with a fairly unique spin on the same action. Terminator series has their spin, the terminator machines and they stick to it.

Try enjoying a movie for what it is, 2 hours of entertainment and stop being overly critical. I bet you analyze your ass hairs and decide which ones to trim and which ones are unique enough to stay. :P

I struggled with it. I LOVE t3 (could be in my 5 top movies all time) and miss that style of directing. T4 seemed very artsy with the weird colors and shit, but the effects were crazy good.

My favorite robot was the big ass dude at the gas station. That r0x0red my b0x0rs. Worst part was the horrible attempt to CGI arny in. So badly done :(

My GF and I went to see it, and she isnt into action movies (duh) but she does like the TV show and sorta liked T2 and T3. When we left the theater she asked if I liked it and I said no. She asked why and I explained I was trying so hard not to expect anything but think I failed (I was fist pumping at the DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN). When she started talking about plot elements and how they related to the rest of the series, I started to think I liked it more than I thought. I want to see it again for sure. She said she liked it a lot, so if anyone has a sig other who doesnt like action they may like this one :D

I also struggle with Bale as anything but american psycho or batman. He was just too good in those rolls.

Right now I would say 4/10, but I think after seeing it again and not being distracted with the weird shit I will be around 8/10.

On a side note, some interesting reading is Kurzweil regarding his theory of The Singularity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_singularity). Fits in well with the T movies :D

SheetiS and I just went and saw it. The whole Batman voice thing made me giggle. I'm not really familiar with the whole Terminator storyline, so he had to explain things as we went. I think with that in mind it was easier for me to enjoy it than those who are big fans. I thought it was pretty cool, but I was hugely disappointed that Ahnahld was not the guy at the end, it was some other dude.
