I use Mozilla Firefox as my default browser, stilll on XP with a DSL connection
Just in the last week or so when I'm browsing i get error 623 window popups every time I'm loading a new page (says something about phonebook entry). I updated Firefox and am still getting the error---the page load most of the time anyway but it's an annoying window. Any ideas what setting I can tweak to get rid of this ?

It's not a browser issue, or one that relates to the browser. It's more in how the connection is being made.

Few questions:

Are you using a Laptop?
Do you use a wireless card or cell phone to connect to the internet on occassion?

If you do, try the following:

Open Internet Explorer (Not Firefox),
goto the Tools Menu,
Choose Internet Options,
Click Connections Tab..
If there are any listings in "Dial-up and Virtual Private Network

and you're not using them anymore, remove them.
