Hello as you can tell from the title of this topic my problem is getting lag in Warhammer. I'm wondering why because my parts I don't think are bad. I have also tried a clean install of windows and wiped my hard drive.

Specs:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161216 - Video Card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128337 -Mobo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115032 - CPU
I am also running windows vista.
So if anyone has any idea why I could be experiencing this lag any help would be appreciated.

Thank you, Rukgo
(mobo now works)

could use a CPU upgrade

and it could be your connection

I'm pretty sure my connection is fine for the other MMOs i play i don't get a connection issue. My brother has most of the same parts as I do and runs War fine. So could any parts be fried?

If you are playing on any of the 'hot' servers, you are going to be lagging just because there are a lot of people connected. Try rolling a faction with a low pop on a server (server C is low Order and Med Destro versus server B with high Order and high Destro) and see if that is a noticeable change?

I shall try that thank you.

You're running pretty much an identical rig to mine, and I do lag since I play on a full server that is often queued

Ya so after playing on a low server i didn't get lag when casting which is server lag but i still got lag when i moved around and some of the cannons and other graphics didn't load right away.

That lag your seeing is server side... your rig is fine.

Might be a few months before Warhammer irons out the wrinkles.

Lag is very respective and depends on what your seeing.

Main lag issue is latency. Your connection, in general may be good, but there may be issues with your ISP's connection to where the servers are hosted. Not common-but not out of the question either. The load on that server, and it's ability to communicate consistently with each person connected is also a factor - and most likely the cause in this situation.

Second, Hard Drives is not a critical component for running a game in respect to lag. HD's are the slowest part of a pc, regardless of what you get and it's theoretical speed. Games are not designed to consistently run off your hard drive anyway. HD's will primarily have a slight effect on your load times, but not really a factor in graphical lag - unless your having hardware failure with your HD.

Your specs look fine for this game. There's nothing I would say needs an "upgrade" unless your just a benchmark/hardware whore.

The MOBO you have is one of the best non-SLi boards out there. It's great bang for your buck.

Price on MB's doesn't = quality or performance. Gigabyte is also the best manufacturer on the market in terms of energy and stability.

The lag you have from turning though-that could be an issue between your GPU and CPU. Try toning down the draw distance, and see if that alleviates the pain. Rendering shouldn't be an issue with latency.
