Here's my semi new rig:
Thermaltake Armor+
Antec 600W PSU
Crosshair II Formula
Athlon 64 bit 6000+
2x WD Velociraptor
1 TB WD Cavier (Storage)
4 Gig 6400 OCZ
8800 GTS KO edition.
I've installed vista 64 bit no prob with all of the hardware above except for the mobo which is new as of yesterday. I'm setting it up raid striped and while installing Vista I am installing the sata/raid drivers via flash drive. The bios has been flashed and updated. During the setup where Windows copies files it seems to be copying no files (stays at 0%) and my optical drive is not moving. It will go to extracting files afterwards (copying files was at 0% when making the transition) and will be painfully slow at extracting. When it finally gets to installing Windows it says it cannot install because of missing files...I forgot what the exact error code is. I did not write it down and cannot access my PC atm. I'm assuming because it didn't copy anything from the drive. Also throughout this whole process I do not hear my HDD doing anything although
the HDD lights on my case were on.
I have never seen this problem before and don't really know what to make of it. I am unsure if it is the sata/raid drivers messing up or a setting I'm missing. The hardware should be good to go. Anyone have any ideas of what's going on?
Would be sweet if I could just go home from work today and get it working right away. I think it's been like 10 days now not logged into game :-(. I'm a sad panda and need to pull off some combos/fatalities soon or I'll go crazy.
I was installing everything no prop the other day on my old mobo but my system kept freezing. After testing all the parts I determined it was my mobo as it did take a beating at one point so I'm not too suprised. So yeah I'm thinking it may be a sata/raid driver issue?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Nevermind, everything is fine and dandy now
