Notleh showed me this the other day and I thought you guys that are building a PC on a budget would appreciate it. It is a $200 board that runs like a $300 board.
EVGA 750i SLI FTW $199.99 can be found for $150.00 so I hear
This budget SLI motherboard provides high end performance and deep features for a much smaller cost. As EVGA puts it, the 750i SLI FTW is engineered For The Win. Now let’s get to is and see what For The Win is all about.

I will let you know next Friday :) and do not do the 790, DDR 3 is not worth it.

DDR 3 is not worth it
only because of the prices though
ending of 2008 prices of ddr3 will be 40% lower than what they are currently so hold ur wallets everyone (unless you got a fat one)

Good to know because I will be running into a little money here soon and priced all the stuff I wanted to get at close to 1300. Of course that was a motherboard, CPU, Ram, Video Card and power supply.

So True lol
But the hand-me-downs will be an Intel P35 board with an Intel C2D quad, 8800 video card, 2gb of DDR2 ram and a 700w power supply... so it is not a bad hand-me-down.
To get her upgraded means I get to be supper upgraded lol

My P35 was the cause of me having to replace it and the processor after around 8 months of use. But eh, if it's a hand-me-down. I'm spiteful though, so I doubt I'll ever buy an Intel board again.
