More questions to consider before my return...

EDIT: I've gotten over my anger streak in WoW. They finally refreshed ranks and I am 20th best on the entire server. Plus SWG has changed to a point where I wouldnt like it much. Not to mention things are semi rolling in my favor, even after the nerf.

By the way, did they nerf the game so that its really hard to get money now? or is it still just as easy as ever? Like can I still go farm random resources and sell it at 3CPU?

And how is Ranger? I really loved marketing my skins/meats/bones from the ranger profession. Did they nerf it, or has the market changed, anything like that?

My favorite thing to do was get rich, and buy stuff for my friends.

It's not that simple anymore. You need to be certified to wear certain armour types. There are three main types (recon, battle, and assault) and three levels for each (basic, standard, advanced...IIRC). If you are not certified, you don't get to wear the armour. Also, each class is geared towards a certain armour type e.g. Rifleman with Recon armour, Ranger with Battle. These classes have skills that mitigate the minuses from those armour types.

The same thing applies to weapons; no certification, no gun.

Doctor's buffs function differently as well. Last time I was on TC, they buffed my health from 3000 to 4500. I'm not sure if they do your action also.

ALSO, are there tons of TKMs still? Like is it still Flavor of the month? And how are rangers? tons of them?

You will have to wait until after CURB goes live tomorrow. Currently, TKM is still popular, but a lot of players went for Fencer. Lot's of dodge. Post-CURB is anybody's guess.
There are two Master Rangers in the guild currently. Myself and one of Stormgeald's alts. I believe Grant is a part-time Ranger.

forget all you knew Nalfien...its a whole new game. Only elite professions get armor. If your toon is deleted, oyu will have a time getitng levels in that you wil be getting most of your xp in groups. (no, not solo groups..you will have to group to survive) Buffs are not the saving factor they are now...Snif mentioned an increase of 1.5K...thats not much when a dragon will hit for 13K. Its nice as a bit of an edge in fighting stuff one or 2 levels over you, but if you get 3 or 4 of them on you, you are still dead.

TKM/Ranger would be an interesting combo though. TKMs have almost no offensive power tho and are all about tanking the target. Their DPS is very low. Dont expect to go out and kill lairs of rancors with it by yourself like we used to.

My God, I can't imagine how nasty Rancors are now. I was getting stomped to death by Fambaas, Rancors must be absolutely lethal.

Dang, Im glad I left. I ENJOYED SWG because I could solo and not rely on IDIOTS. Seems now you must group or you get owned. TKA used to be a major solo class. Heck I would farm rancors for XP and money from the quests.

Sounds to me like they ruined the game. Armor situation isnt a bad idea, but TKA used to be equipped to live on its own with little help. If the days of killing rancors, and even fambaas are gone, I guess I have changed my mind. This game used to be one where you could survive alone as the right class. Not so anymore I take it. I dont EVER remember having grouped for grind xp. It just slowed me down. Hell, I used to even get the highest level missions for faction and own entire little faction parties.

I found this fun, as I have learned in WoW that relying on others only wastes your time, money, and energy.. So much for the good ol days.

I am startig to look forward to the changes actually. I see many of us finally being able to play together for the good of the guild far more than we can now. As for community, thats what guilds are for. We filter out the ID10T players. Sets it up so we play with good players. That's what we have now in our team. All mature guys.

First off, whats this stuff about people being "level 80"? is this just their quest level, or did they add some alternate advancement?

My debt is almost payed back in WoW... Not to mention I am really bored of the stupid game. I am level 60 rogue with like 750 honorable kills and increasing daily. Too bad this is the only content worth your time. You are SO BUSY doing things to keep up with the top players that you never have time to enjoy yourself (farm money/items for guildies is OUT of the question, 99% of your playtime)

Yes we will look after you, im shure Jhra will make all the BE'd Clothes that you would like. As for the name i havnet seen anyone use Nal for a while.

As for TKM it looks like to be not too bad if you add a bit of melee and master doctor as well.

They are pretty much all level 50-60, but you're a personal friend and I'm the best PvPer they got :P I hear the DROW branch is running well, but I am level 60 and highly ranked in PvP. No way I am moving now. They do the high end instance raids (PvE, like giant caves that take a week to finish). However, I dont really care about that either, as PvE isnt for me. I'm a killer! After a few weeks, you may feel like you are too far along to switch to my server, but trust me you arent. I can make those "Elite" quests pretty easy on you :P I can run the level 40ish elite instances by myself with my eyes shut :D. Plus the money I can hook you up with, and since I know how to do like, ALL the quests, it will make things easier. When you get on Lightbringer just message me or mail me. Not really lacking on anything really. Do what you really want. Keep in mind for combat...ranged is the new melee. Melee cant even effectively tank in most cases. If you go the crafting route, its all open to what you want as we seem to have everything for the most part covered.

Nah, I have NO desire to craft. I'm thinking either something medical again mixed with something combat oriented, perhaps.

The Jedi thing might be fun to try at some point though I hear it's rather time consuming to get there.

In a good group you will soon get your levels up. The only way to get medical xp now is to be in a group on a mission. However the heals will genorate aggro so you will get hammered at first. Pistols is a good prof to have with cm as you get to control you oppenets.

yeah, if you are generating a lot of hate from healing, being able to root and Intimidate the mob is important. But Carbine or Rifles is just as valid a profession with Combat medic for their own unique abilities they give to the CM profession.

Wili is a Rifle/CM and I believe Nive's Alt is a Carbine/CM I think.
