My friend (Snifobem) and I went hunting in the middle of Naboo Saturday night. We grabbed 4 missions and headed out. I was a master carbineer/master combat medic/master medic level 80 and he was a master ranger/master rifleman level 80. We were grouped and getting level 50 missions.
high points:
The game did not crash.
low points:
The horrible effects when getting on/off our swoops.
My healing rate was a lot slower than live and at about 60% of my live character's effectiveness. At least I fire on autodefend in live while waiting for my heals to fire off. On the TC, I was a bullet sponge.
The blinding bacta spray effect. The original sparklies of the area heal got the point across without the blinding graphics and lag.
We took on a Gungan base, fambaa lair, plains tusk cat lair, and kaadu lair.
For the Gungan base with level 50 Gungans, we managed to pick them off 1 and 2 at a time. The battle with each Gungan lasted about 3 minutes. I healed thousands of points of damage, threw fire, poison, and disease. Net result 5 carbine xp and 5 medical xp for the whole base.
For the fambaa lair (level 50 fambaas), we managed to pick off the first couple of fambaas singlely. Then, the rest aggroed us. Unlike in live, I spent the entire battle spam healing the rifleman to keep him standing or spam healing myself while the rifleman hosed the fambaas off me. Again, after about 10-15 minutes killing the whole lair with thousands of points of damaged healed, throwing fire, poison, and disease. I got a few carbine xp and a few medical xp.
Next was the plains tusk cat lair, these were level 16 creatures with 10k hits and we were level 80 with about 3k hits. Two of the cats were agro from the start. I spent most of the long fight either spam healing myself or the rifleman. I tried to solo a level 16 plains tusk cat scout by myself. The cat was on fire, diseases, poisoned, and I was healing myself during the fight and barely won for the net result of 1 carbine xp and 1 medical xp. We gave up and called it quits.
During the night's combat I had to rez the rifleman twice which gave my a total of 1000 medical xp (about 98% of my medical xp for the night).
After about an hour of play, destroying 2.5 lairs my net result was 18 carbine xp and 1021 medical xp (1000 of which was from rezing the rifleman). I can't imagine what it would be like fighting something our level. The length of play to reward was unimaginably poor. I spent all of my combat staring at the icons trying to figure out what needed to fire off next. I almost never had the chance to see what my toon was doing. Many times the question was asked "Do you see my guy firing?" Fortunately, the rifleman live locally and I had him on the phone. We would not have been able to use the chat.
Overall, the game experience was very poor.
