What duties does the Operations Officer perform on multiplayer ships? The only time I've been aboard one, I was the wrong faction and couldn't take that station.

I've seen screenshots of Star Destroyers but have never come across one. Are they generated only for specific missions?

The ops chair handles specials and droid commands. I wasnt aware of their being a faction regulation on the ops chair tho. I guess it would make sense....otherwise an Imperial in a Nova attacking the SD could call in a TIE bomber strike on the SD. Which is just weird. Now I am an Imperial Privateer, and I could use my privateer specials in the ops chair of the Decimator tho. So maybe its just rebs and Imps cant switch, but privateers can do either.

The SD is only in Deep Space, which is only available to Master Pilots.

Thanks An. Actually it was when you took us up in your YT that I tried to hop in the Ops station and was rejected. I got a message about being the wrong faction. Since we're both Imperial, it must be because I fly for the Imperial Navy and you are a Privateer.

Thanks also for the info on the Star Destroyer. I am 4/4/3/3 in my piloting skills and should hit Master in a couple of weeks.

Hmm, that is odd. Now that you mention it, I think Caucab said the same thing before. Maybe Privateers are the only ones able to uccupy Ops seats outside their JTL faction.
